JAMES ROBERT SPENCER 'JAMIE' LEWIN
Taken too soon, suddenly of a heart attack; peacefully in his sleep at home, on Saturday, August 31st at age 51
Beloved father of young sons Keir and Chris Davis; they came 1st and were his world. Recent husband of Michelle (nee McDonnell). Cherished son of Diane Allen of Montreal. Predeceased by his fathers, Frank Spencer Lewin and John Chesley Allen of Quebec and nephew Frances. Dear brother of Nicholas Lewin (Lisa Lafrance) of Chester, NS, Susan Lewin (Roland Rom Colthoff) Toronto, Deborah Lewin (Ben Walmsley) Toronto, 'little brother' Ted Allen (Helen Allen) of Montreal. Generous uncle of Erica, Antonia, Georgia, Ally, Nicky, Will, Honor, Able, Grace, Jack, Benjamin, Cole and Hanna and great-nephew Jacob. He will be missed by many many friends and family. Jamie will be remembered for his love of life and food by family and friends around the globe, including at the Peterborough YMCA, where he owned and ran The Fridge Cafe. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a service at 4:00 p.m., reception to follow September 4th, 2013 at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, 705-745-6984. Interment and a farewell BASH to be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Autism Ontario, an organization of special significance to the family.
