James McGUIGAN Obituary



McGUIGAN, James FitzGerald, of Cedar Springs
Passed away on Thursday, March 5, 1998 at the Public General Hsopital in Chatham. Born in Chatham 74 years ago, son of the late Virgil McGuigan and Florence FitzGerald. He is survived by his wife the former Mona Scott and his children John and Diane McGuigan, Cedar Springs; Janet and Michael Kelly, Chatham; Margaret and Jeff Marley of High River, Alberta; Sheila McGuigan of Toronto; grandchildren Scott and Lee McGuigan; Jared and Jessa Marley. Sister Helen and Edward Miller of R.R. # 1, Blenheim; brothers David and Helen McGuigan, Erie Beach; Robert and Marilyn McGuigan, Guelph; Maurice and Simone McGuigan, R.R. 3, Blenheim. Sister-in-law Sheila and Fred Aldworth, Ottawa and brother-in-law Blair and Margaret Scott, Tacoma, Washington. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Resting at the J. L. FORD FUNERAL HOME in Blenheim for visitation on Sunday and Monday from 2-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Cedar Springs United Church with Pastor Garry Wilcox officiating. Interment in Craford Cemetery, Raleigh Township. Donations to the Cedar Springs United Church Memorial Fund; Cancer Society or Blenheim Community Leisure Centre would be appreciated. Mr. McGuigan was a lifelong farmer and fruit grower and was a member of the Ontario Legislative Assembly for the riding of Kent-Elgin/Essex-Kent from 1977-1990.
