JAMES ARTHUR SOAME

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of James Arthur Soame, who died at the Montford Hospital, in Ottawa, on November 7, 2025, at the age of 97. Jim was the most wonderful husband to Diana (née Lowe); and the very best father to Christopher, Heather, Peter, and Pamela. He was a proud and loving grandad to Collin, Julia, Adrien, George, and Henry. Jim served with pride throughout a full career in the Canadian Forces Armoured Corps, exemplifying dedication and service to his country. Throughout his life - while raising his family, and well into retirement - he shared his love of sports: skiing in the winter and tennis, biking and hiking in the warmer months. His sense of fun, fair play, and deep loyalty defined him as a devoted family man and a true friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all of us, his family.
