JAMES ALBERT TAYLOR Passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Bluewater Health, at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Helen (Glendon/Armstrong). Loving father of Bradley Taylor and Debora Reynolds; and stepfather of Daniel Glendon (Kelly) and Julie Leighton. Admired grandfather of Eric Taylor, Ian Taylor, Brooke Engberg, Blair Engberg; step-grandfather of Nicole and Ashley Leighton, Gabriel and Jonathan Glendon; and great-grandfather of Arabella, Scarlett, and Lucas Engberg and Liam Elmendorf. Dear brother of Robert Taylor and wife Pat. Highly regarded by his nephews, Steven and Darrell Taylor. Predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Rhoda Taylor. James grew up in Newmarket, Ontario. He attended Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener, Ontario. He also attended Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he became an Ordained Nazarene Minister. Ministering in churches located in Ottawa and Preston Ontario, as well as Lansing, Illinois. James left ministry and began a career in elder care, where he worked in managing Retirement Communities. Several years later, he moved from the U.S. back to Canada to manage the Versa Care Retirement Centre of Brantford, Ontario. He then went on to manage the Brantford Regional Chamber of Commerce. After relocating to Mississauga, he held the position of administrator of Westminster Court Retirement Home, where he retired at age 66. Jim and Helen were married for 34 years, and following his retirement, they moved to Sarnia and lived in a condo on Lake Huron with a beautiful view of the lake. James spent his time watching ships, barges and sailboats. He truly enjoyed reading, especially history related topics. He always strived to continuously be learning. He was fascinated by the history of his ancestors and spent time researching them. He will be sadly missed by our family, extended family and his many friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of James' life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada. Dearest Helen,
My deepest sympathies over the loss of Jim, from myself and family to you and your extended family. It's been a blessing to have gotten to know Jim over the many years we have known each other from our work at the MBofT. You found a wonderful man and the love between you both was do evident and adorable and beautiful. Fond memories of seeing Jim at a previous anniversary party as well as our visit years ago with a energetic game of cards with you both. Jim was such fun and always had a warm welcoming heart. Our love to you. May you find strength, joy, and peace from the 35 years you had.

My memories of James (Jim) Taylor relate to his tenure in the Brantofrd Ontario community; in particular in his management role with the Brantford Regional Chamber of Commerce. Jim's character, background, business experience, and approach to situations in a kind hearted, but effective manner will be long remember by individuals in the business community. A true gentelman with a sense of humour. Sincerely Marion Lee
