Jane was a great tennis pal during our indoor winter games, and then each summer, she generously hosted a party she called 'Wimbledon on the Lake' at her beautiful Blue Cottage on Lake Simcoe. A gaggle of 'gals' [actually aging women] played tennis on the turf court, explored the gardens, swam in the lake and then enjoyed a sumptuous lunch on the verandah. Having left multiple phone messages, I'm stunned to discover that Jane died Dec 9 up at her cottage and is buried in that lovely churchyard. I will miss her - on and off the court. .... I was so sorry to read about Jane's death.
She was an enthusiastic, vibrant woman who made you feel good. I volunteered with her at the AGO for many years. She was passionate about art, skiing and travel. I always enjoyed her company.
My deepest sympathy to her family.

Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my dear cousin Jane. She will be greatly missed. We shared many happy times together at McGill, with cousins in England and later on at Roche's Point. Jane had great appreciation for art. She will be remembered as a volunteer for the excellent work she did in the restoration of "The Grange", the first home of the "Art Museum of Toronto". Glad she came to rest at the place she loved most. sending my love and deepest sympathy to Alex, Antonia (Mark) and the rest of the family and many friends.
