Jane FREEMAN Obituary

Jane Elizabeth Freeman
March 30, 1959 - December 7, 2016

Surrounded by her loving family, our Janie passed away in her home, following a valiant battle fought with her signature dignity and courage. Predeceased by her beloved father, Douglas in 1990. Jane is survived by her son, Dylan, whom she adored; her cherished mother, Helen; sister, Pam (Al Wilkinson); brother, Jim; sister, Laura (Peter Sutherland); and by nieces, Sarah, Mary, Kailey, Julie; and nephew, Doug - all of whom loved her dearly. Jane was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario where she attended M.M. Robinson H.S. before going on to receive a B.A. degree from Glendon College, York University. She moved to Vancouver in 1981 and was so taken with the West Coast, there was no looking back. Jane was a favourite of colleagues and customers alike at C.I.B. C., where she worked for many years. She was a lover of music, family and an accomplished cook. Anyone who ever found themselves in the orbit of her dazzling smile will never forget it. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at Richmond General Hospital, the nurses at Vancouver Coastal Health and to the special circle of family and friends, who went above and beyond during her final days. At the family's request there will be a private service in Ontario at a later date.
