Jane Elizabeth Gilchrist LINDSAY

Jane LINDSAY Obituary

JANE ELIZABETH GILCHRIST LINDSAY (née STEPHENSON) On Monday evening, September 20th, Janey slipped away peacefully. She was at home, where she wanted to be, together with her husband and sons. Jane left us too soon, in her 59th year after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered lovingly by her much adored husband of thirty years, George, and their wonderful sons, Hugh and Graeme. In addition to her siblings Annabel (Jonathon), Amanda, Justin (Laura) and Jonathan (Deborah), and her nine nieces and nephews, Jane will be sorely missed by her mother-in-law, Ruth Lindsay, and the many, many friends and extended family she amassed while living in Montreal, London, Toronto and most recently Dundas, Ontario. Her wit, warmth, selfless giving, unassuming intellect and genuine interest in others were her hallmarks; ones that inspired everyone she met. Friends and family are encouraged to visit at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 195 King Street West, Dundas, Ontario on Friday, September 24th from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 25th at St. Paul's United Church, 29 Park Street West, Dundas, Ontario at 11:00 am. The family extends its thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Hamilton Health Sciences for their exemplary care. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Jane's memory to the National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation, www.pancreatic cancercanada.ca, would be appreciated.
