JANET PATRICIA SCOTT 'Pat' (née Davidson) February 26, 2018, in Toronto, shortly after her 72nd birthday. Mother of Cindy (Justin) Woodward and Andrew Scott; adoring grandmother of Sophie and Henry Woodward and Lilly Scott; daughter of the late Audrey Locke Davidson and Mel Davidson; sister of Ian (Anna), Derek, and Leigh Davidson. Pat will be missed by her many cousins who enjoyed childhood summers at Big Bay Point and Camp Tanamakoon, followed by summer jobs in the Rockies and Quebec. Pat grew up in Chatham and Montreal. After she graduated from The Study and received her degree in Art History from McGill University, she moved to Toronto where she held administrative positions at U of T, first in the Chemistry Department then at Massey College.By far, Pat's greatest loves were her children and grandchildren. Their happiest times were at the family cottage in Georgian Bay. She cared deeply about the environment and was passionate about Canada's natural beauty and wildlife. Pat had an enduring intellectual curiosity and keen interest in current events right up to her final weeks. She kept her remarkable (often offbeat) sense of humour. She was determined and brave on many fronts. Heartfelt thanks to the GYN and Clinical Trials nurses and physicians at Princess Margaret Hospital for their care and support. The programs and skilled professionals at the Gyn/Onc Clinic extended Pat's life by several years and significantly enhanced her quality of life. You gave her hope and courage; fellow travellers at the clinic inspired her and built new friendships. A gathering in Pat's honour will take place at RCYC's City Clubhouse, 141 St George St., (at Bloor) on Tuesday, April 17, from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ovarian Cancer Canada (
ovariancanada.org) or Wellspring (
wellspring.ca) are welcome. Condolences and memories can be forwarded through
