Janice PATTON Obituary

Loving wife to Christopher (1924 - 2010), mother to Nicholas and Denbigh. Jan lived the full circle of a great life to the age of 95. Died peacefully at home with family close. Cremation has taken place, funeral in June. Family will also notify all on our phone and email list. Email [email protected] or call Jan's home to be notified. Den and Nick, I am so sorry for your loss, but I suppose we all knew this day would come sooner than later. May your mother rest in peace.

Mrs. Patton was always most patient and kind with our unruly bunch back in the day, and opened her home to many of us over that period. I suspect she just might have found us pretty entertaining, in much the same way as our teachers would scold us mercilessly for one transgression or another and then head into their lounge to have a great laugh over our antics on any given day.

Jan Patton was a brilliant writer and editor and a lovely soul. It's an over-used expression but this time it's true: We shall not see her like again. Peter V
