JANINE HAMBROCK

On December 25th, 2024 Janine "J9" Hambrock (née Gregoire) passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital surrounded by family. Janine is survived by her husband, Louis; her children, Stephanie, Meredith, and Alexandra (Jonathan); her siblings, Joan (David), Stephen (Mimi), Suzanne, Brian (Christina), Mary-Lou (Peter), brother-in-law Martin (Lisa); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Basil and Shirlie Gregoire and in-laws, L.R. and Nora Hambrock. Janine was a fierce competitor who loved skiing, squash, bridge, and golf, and was thrilled to get a hole-in-one in July 2020. She was a keen reader, an enthusiastic driver, and a devoted family organizer. Her warmth, intelligence, and good humour attracted a large community of many wonderful friends she kept for life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The visitation will take place at Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) on Thursday, January 2nd 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 24 Cheritan Avenue, on Friday, January 3rd at 10:30 a.m. There will be a private interment. We welcome everyone at a reception following Mass.
