Dear Nancy, Virginie, Frédérique and families,
The loss is so sad and so tragic. We extend our deepest sympathies. May all your fond memories of this loving man, his generosity, his sharp mind and ready humour, give you comfort.
Likewise, we will savour our many years of working and playing together in the Canadian Bar Association Activities of travelling together (including Greece, Italy, Whistler Chicago etc.). They were glorious times, so enriched by Jeans wit, joie de vie and sweet friendship.
Big hugs and warm wishes.

I've known Jean since about 1961, and have admired his intelligence and thoughtfulness ever since. He followed me as national president of Canada's student union, and was always a force for both la Francophonie and Canadian unity. A true gentleman. My deep sympathy to his daughters and grandkids.

I knew him only at the SGF board meetings. He was a good chair off at the renumeration comitee meetings. He was a better as chair at the board meetings. He was kind enough to stop me, several times, at the board meetings, when the decision had already made- in my favour.
The SGF was closed and merged with Investiment Quebec, and both he and I agreed with that decision.
May he rest in peace in heaven.
