Jean HAYHURST Obituary
HAYHURST, Jean Eleanor (Hunnisett)
1912 - 1999
Wife and partner for 44 years of the late Palmer Hayhurst (1983); what a great team they made. Jean may never have fully realized how much her love, her friendship and her loyalty meant to her sons, Jim, George and Doug; her daughters-in-law, Sue, Cathy and Natalie; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her life-long and newer friends; the younger women she shared personal times with (the daughters she never had); her cousins; Marina Creations; her golfing partners; her Kappa Kappa Gamma sisters; and the members of The Book Club that has been meeting for almost half a century. Jean still drove a stick-shift car in her sixties, heli-hiked in her seventies and gracefully paddled her canoe, at just the right tilt, in her eighties. Jean, Jeannie-dear-heart, Mimi and Mum, you added so much to the lives of your husband, your family, and so many others. We love you and will miss you very, very much. You were a ;Corker. Thank you to Adrienne Lilley for your friendship and comfort these last couple of years. Thanks also to Dr. Doug Robertson for the special care you gave. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME
A. W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 1999. A private family service will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations in Jean's memory may be made to Goodwill Industries of Toronto, 234 Adelaide Street East, Toronto M5A 1M9 or Trails Youth Initiatives, 378 Fairlawn Avenue, Toronto M5M 1T8.
