On Wednesday, March 15, 2006; suddenly while visiting Cowansville, Quebec; Jean Mary (Porte) Irving of Brockville at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Henry Irving. Loving mother of Hillary Irving-Brown, Duncan Irving, and Miriam Irving all of Toronto. Fondly remembered by her three grandsons Justin, Ian and Spencer. Also survived by her brother Barry Porte of England. Mrs. Irving was the daughter of the late Nelson and Marguerite (Chamers) Porte of Loughton, England.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. In celebration of Jean's life, the funeral service will take place at St. Peter's Anglican Church (Park at Pine Streets, Brockville) on Tuesday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. Following cremation, interment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, ON at a later date. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care, the Brockville General Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
