March 9, 1924 - January 10, 2009
Peacefully at Sunrise Unionville in the early hours of Saturday, January 10, 2009. Adored wife of the late George James Leonidas. Beloved mother of James, Joan Stark (Bob), and Bob (Cynthia Waite). Loving grandmother of Matt, Dan (Kate), Lindsay and Greg Stark.

Jean led her life with an elegant grace and good humour. She never complained and she always had a positive attitude. George was the love of her life and she missed him terribly. She will be remembered for her love of nature in all its forms, music, and cherished gatherings with her children and grandchildren at the family cottage and at her home in Toronto. The family would like to thank the very sensitive and thoughtful caregivers at Sunrise Unionville for making Jean's last few years safe, enjoyable and dignified.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the ANGLICAN CHURCH OF ST. CLEMENTS, (Duplex Ave at Briar Hill) on Thursday, January 15th at 1:30 pm. Private family burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in her name to the Arthur and Sonia Labatts Brain Tumor Research Centre, The Hospital for Sick Children, Attention Dr. James T. Rutka, 555 University Ave, Suite 1503, Toronto, Ontario M5G 1X8 would be appreciated, or, if preferred, to a charity of your choice.
