Jeffrey GOODE Obituary
GOODE, Jeffrey Edward
It is with great sadness that the family of one of Canada's foremost photo journalists announces his peaceful passing at Scarborough Grace Hospital, after a lengthy illness, on Friday, August 4th, 2000. Jeff Goode spent 49 years at the Toronto Star and became one of the country's most respected newspaper photographers. He is survived by his wife Valerie Chavossy, his sons Stephen, David (Marika) and Christopher, his daughters Lesley and Gillian, sister Alison Pynn who provided him with constant care and comfort over the past month, his former wife Audrey and grandchildren Tracy, April, Joseph, Gordon and Gavin. Visitation on Monday, August 7th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at THE RALPH DAY FUNERAL HOME, 180 Danforth Avenue (east of Broadview subway station), to be followed by a service on Tuesday, August 8th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. (Evening supervised parking at rear of funeral home).
