JERRY VANDERWAL Obituary

(May 26, 1949 - February 4, 2025) Jerry Gerben Vanderwal, although born in the Netherlands, was very much Irish at heart. Family and home were his priorities. Gatherings of the clan - family and friends were the high points of his days. Predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Willy-Marie; and sister, Wilma (Herb). Jerry is fondly remembered by his wife, Charmian; his children, Morgan and Jessica Vanderwal, and Jessica McGrath; and by extended family, Melanie Dubord; siblings, Frits (Sandra), John (Diane), and Henny (David); nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Life was full of involvement in scouts, swimming, diving, soccer, and softball. If Jerry wasn't participating, he was cheering the kids on; always encouraging them to do their best. And have fun! His work in sales garnered the same intensity. Do your best; give your all; make sure the customer has what they want and need to help their businesses grow. Jerry's passing has left a profound void in the lives of everyone that he interacted with. He would not want us to mourn his passing; but celebrate his life and all he brought to those of us lucky enough to know him. Please join us in the Celebration of Jerry's life at our home on June 8, 2025. For address or directions, please contact one of the immediate family members.

So sorry to read about Jerry's passing. Knew him when we were children in Moose Creek and his dad was a pastor at Knox Presbyterian Church. RIP Jerry.
