COOK, Jesse Austin (Councillor and Mayor of Orillia, Ontario (1950 & 1952) and Deputy Reeve of Simcoe County; W.W. I Veteran; Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 34, Orillia; 75 year member of the Orillia Masonic Lodge # 192 A.F. & A.M.: G.R.C.; Past President of the Orillia Kiwanis Club; both he and his wife Olive were active members of Regent Park and St. Paul's United Churches, Orillia)
On Monday, May 11th, 1998, in his 101st year. Predeceased by his wife of over 63 years, Olive Florence Ross and grandson Eric Winterton. Survived by his children Eldred F. Cook (Edward Swinton), William Cook (Clara Brailey), and Patricia M. Winterton (Grant). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Sheila Swinton (Mark Patterson), Peter Swinton (Doris Williams), Louise Swinton (Richard Moreal), Laura Cook (Larry Sugars), David Cook and Karen Winterton. Sadly missed by great-grandchildren Amelia, Tessah, Melissa , Yarra, Austin, Darlene and Traviss. Visiting at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Paul's United Church, 62 Peter St. N. (at Coldwater Rd.), Orillia on Thursday morning, May 14th at 11 o'clock. Interment Mount Albert, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Trillium Manor, Regent Park and St. Paul's United Churches, Orillia. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 34 are asked to gather for service in the chapel on Wednesday evening at 6:30 and Orillia Masonic Lodge # 192 A.F. & A.M.: G.R.C. at 7:00.
