Joan NODWELL Obituary
NODWELL, Joan Elizabeth (nee Kennedy)
With sadness, we announce the death of Joan Nodwell on December 24th, 2004. She passed away peacefully in hospital, in the presence of her family. Joan was the much-loved wife and soulmate of Ed, dear mother of Sarah and Justin, loving grandmother of Leo, and gracious mother-in-law of Laurie and Lisa. As a longtime E.S.L. teacher at Central Commerce Collegiate, Joan helped many new Canadians adapt to a different language and culture. She had a gift for friendship, and was loved and admired by many. Joan was greatly touched by the support offered during her final months, and we are grateful to her friends, particularly her beloved colleagues from the Breakfast Club. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W at Windermere, east of the Jane subway on Tuesday December 28th, 2004 from 4-9 pm. A private service will be held on Wednesday, with a celebration of Joan's life to follow at a later date.
