JOAN SPROAT Obituary

Joan McLean Sproat died on December 18, 2025, in her 100th year. She was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth and Marion; and her brothers, Douglas and Adam (Jim). She is survived by her nephew, John (Janet), their children, Adam and Alison (Kasha); and her nephew, Paul (Carol), their children, Tom (Hilde), and grandson, Calvin; Maggie (Sean), Elizabeth and David (Maddie). We are extremely grateful for the love, around the clock care and attention that she received over the past several years from Chermain, Maylyn, Sumitra, Josarie and other dedicated, compassionate caregivers. Thank you as well to her many good friends who visited often and brightened her life for so many years. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral service.

It is with great sadness I learned today that Joan has finally passed away. I am grateful for my wonderful memories of Joan, who has been part of my life for more than seventy years. Joan will be missed by friends and family.
