Joann HEAD Obituary

JOANN ELIZABETH HEAD It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Joann Elizabeth in her 35th year. At home surrounded by her three sisters, Jennifer, Kati, Sondi; her parents, Ross and Suzi; her lifelong friend, Michelle Hunter; and most importantly the four legged love of her life, Chip. Joann, also known as JoJo, was a true force of nature. Fun, loving and spirited. She remained forever brave and was at peace in the end. A celebration of a life well lived will take place this summer in Muskoka. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated in Joann's memory to wellspring.ca, a charity dear to her heart.

I clearly remember that mischievous smile in college; those big sunglasses behind the mini cooper wheel. You always had an aura to you. You'd turn heads and light up a room. I doubt you ever lost that spark. Man, you made me laugh. I'm sure you kept on pouring so much light into this life Jojo, it'll miss you terribly.

I am forever grateful I got that last hug at the concert. Love you, kiddo.

My deepest condolences to you, Head family. Praying for healing. I recall how tight your tribe was, I pray you bond together and celebrate her life with your own perseverance. Sending love.

Dear Ross, Suzi and Girls
I feel such deep sorrow for the loss of Joann. I only ever met her twice, years ago and then when she was unwell. Even in her sickness, I thought to myself, what a dynamic young woman!
I pray that somehow time will heal your pain and you will be able to experience peace.
Sincerely,
Sue Jirgens.

Ross, Sue, Sondi, Katie and Jen.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jo’s passing. I hope the unique family bond you all share provides some strength in experiencing such an irreplaceable loss. Jo was awesome, a live wire and always had such a positive energy. It had been awhile since I saw her but she picked me out of a crowd a year or so ago. She was awesome, genuine and extremely nice. It gave me energy. While a simple story, it reminded me of the energy she always had. Pretty unique. I can only imagine how you’re all struggling. It’s been awhile, and I’m sorry I can’t do more than a simple message. I hope the outpouring of love and support you are receiving helps in a small way.

My thoughts are truly with you and probably will be for a bit.

Love to your family.

Jordan Driediger.

I will always remember Her as Jo-jo. I have so many memories from the skeleton lake regatta our grandfather hosted to large family vacations to seeing Jo behind the HBS counter when I would order building supplies she was always smiling. She was a wonderful person inside and out and my family will miss her dearly.
