Joe Braunstein Obituary

JOE BRAUNSTEIN
February 23, 1957 - Wyandotte, MI - January 27, 2023 - King City, ON

Joseph Braunstein, beloved husband of Paige and father of Mitchell, Thomas and Kendall, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the age of 65 years of health complications. His family, friends and the world at large lost a remarkable man. He was principled, kind, strong, dependable, supportive, sincere, hard working and incorruptible and a true "mensch" who loved a challenge. No amount of words will summarize the admiration and love everyone had and will always have for him. He was the true bedrock of his family.
Function over fashion, exercise over sleep, the long route instead of a short cut, never pay someone to do something you can do yourself - there was no mountain too big for Joe.
A star track athlete, basketball player, University of Toronto and George Brown College alumni, Professional basketball player in der Bundesliga, Germany. Founder and Partner of Braunstein & Braunstein Construction. (est. 1984) and accomplished Real Estate Investor, all alongside his twin brother and best friend, Tony.
He will be missed more than he will ever know.
His wife, sons, daughter, twin brother and sisters, nephews and nieces, friends and admirers loved him dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honour in the Spring, hosted by the family at Grandview. Please contact Joe's family for details. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Margaret Bahen Hospice - founded by our neighbour.

In Dad's words...Get back to work.
