ARCHER, Dr. John Hall, O.C., S.O.M., D.Cn.L., B.L.S., M.A., Ph.D.July 11, 1914 – April 5, 2004
Born south of Broadview, Saskatchewan, died peacefully in Regina in his 89th year. Son of the late Charles Hall and Mary Archer; husband of Alice Widdup for 64 years; father of John (Paula) and Mary (Tony Walsh); and grandfather of Kathryn Archer (Samuele Ramadori), Elizabeth Archer, Sarah Walsh and Nicholas Walsh. He is survived by sisters, Kathleen (the late Romeo Fafard), Lilian (Ralph Ferch), Helen (the late Blake Huff), Faith (Bud Stanley) and Doreen (the late Frank Proctor); and brothers, Samuel (Elsie) and Richard (Carol). Predeceased by brother Charles Hinckley. A prolific author, respected scholar and editor, popular public speaker, and raconteur, wizard bridge player, and ardent champion of the Province of Saskatchewan.
