John Edgar Bradley, CMHC Retiree. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of John Edgar Bradley on December 16, 2025, at the age of 77. John was born in Oshawa, Ontario, dear son of the late Jean and Bruce Bradley; and brother to the late Robert and Philip. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; brother-in-law, Michael; sister-in-law, Jann; niece, Lisa (Pat); nephew, Erik (Allison); grandnephews, Nathaniel, Harrison and Emmett; and his beloved dog, Pepper. He attended the University of Western Ontario and the University of Windsor. He enjoyed a long career with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. In his younger years, John belonged to the Oshawa Flying Club, the Oshawa Golf Club, and the Oshawa Curling Club. Among his pastimes, he loved walking Pepper, mentoring young people, reading non-fiction, maintaining his car, making hearty soups, and with Pauline, taking long flights to exotic places and hosting friends over lobster and champagne. John was blessed to have a loving family, kind friends, and thoughtful neighbours who provided their support through this journey. He and Pauline will be forever grateful to Erik, Lisa, Jann, the Weilers, the Engells, Colleen and Barry, John and Susan, Diane, Murray, and Rob and Lil for their love and compassion. A special thank you to the attentive team of PSWs, nurses and doctors who ensured John was comfortable at home. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Kelly Funeral Home - Somerset Chapel, 585 Somerset Street West, Ottawa, ON K1R 5K1 (613-235-6712).
