John BURK Obituary

JOHN PAUL BURK May 10, 1938 - December 29, 2021 In his 83rd year, Paul Burk passed away peacefully on the evening of December 29, 2021 at Kingston General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents John Busscher Burk and Rosalind nee Taylor Burk and brothers David and Ronald Burk. Paul was born in Toronto and attended Etobicoke Collegiate where he met his future wife Norah Whitney Burk. Paul played football, basketball, ran track, and loved to play the piano. He went on to Western University and the University of Toronto en route to Osgoode Hall where he graduated with a law degree in 1962. He is survived by son Scott (Dianne) and their boys Ben and Andrew; John; Susan (Jon) and their boys Tom and Blake; and Bob (Wendy) and their girls Quincy, Andie, and Norah. With great fondness, Paul's children remember family time spent together at Mansfield, Timber Bay near Huntsville, a special summer in Chester, Nova Scotia, and March break trips to Daytona Beach. They also recall Dad's birthday always beginning with red geraniums appearing on our front porch from Mom. Our parents loved to dance in those years with dinner parties amongst their friends never ending early. Paul was an avid reader and a wonderful storyteller to whom laughter came easily. He was fun to be around. He'll be missed.
