GREGORY, John ;Jack F.
81 years, passed away May 31st, 2001, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Victoria, B.C., after courageously suffering three years from a massive stroke. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gwen and children Gillian and David. Survived by his devoted sister Joan, caring family, nieces and nephews. His brilliant 42 year career was spent first with the B.C. Police, advancing to Staff Sergeant in the R.C.M.P. From here he was chosen for Police Chief of Victoria, serving admirably there for 17 years. He was a dedicated Rotarian, Shriner and active in many charitable organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mount Saint Mary's Building Fund or B.C. Cancer Society would be deeply appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 9th at 1 p.m. at McCall Brothers Funeral Home, 1400 Vancouver Street, Victoria, B.C. Please join family and friends after the service for refreshments and to reminisce happy times as he would want.
