(November 19, 1938 - November 28, 2025) David's happy childhood in Toronto was followed by an interesting career in graphic design, earning many prestigious design awards and leading corporate design company Hunter Straker Limited. A family man and memory maker, David is survived by wife, Mary (née Anderson); children, Matthew (Karoline) and Sarah (Dave); and grandchildren, Noah, Katie, Simon, Sam and Luke. David treasured great friends and relatives; his unique and beautiful homes (32 Rumsey, Four Maples, Apple Hill and Echo Rock Island); three English Setters; rewarding volunteer experiences; travel; an appreciation for art, music, and ballet; and always having many good reads on the go. What more could one ask? A gifted conversationalist, he brightened days of friends and strangers wherever he went. He didn't want a memorial gathering but, if so inclined, if someone asks for a little change as you walk by, please give kindly and think of David. Messages to family may be made at
