JOHN REDVERS (TED) KENNEDY
Mississauga, Ontario.


Passed away peacefully at the Mississauga Hospital with his family by his side on May 26th, in his 83rd year. Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Marie (nee Williams), his four boys Terry (Robyn) (Marianne), Stephan (Gabriela), Keith (Anne), Rick (Jennifer), 10 grandchildren; Matthew Lindsay, Lauren, Nicole, Mark, Michael, John, Taylor, Georgia and Nolan, his great- granddaughter Ella and his sister Lyn (Dick) Mullen.
  Ted grew up in Toronto, living in Islington where he attended Etobicoke Collegiate and the University of Toronto. He played football for the Varsity Blues followed by two years with the Toronto Balmy Beach Club. Ted moved to Vancouver, B. C. where he joined the J. C. Wilson Company (Abitibi Price Corporation). In 1963, he was transferred by the Price Wilson Company to Mississauga, Ontario. Ted continued his career holding executive positions with companies including; Rubbermaid, Lee Jeans (VF Corporation), Canadian Corporate Management, Federal Industries, Emco Distribution Ltd., Molson Companies and Laidlaw Corporation, in addition he served on the Board for several Canadian corporations. Ted loved every minute of his working career, but his greatest joy was his family of whom he was extremely proud.
  Ted enjoyed his summers with the Williams, Kennedy clan at the family cottage on Gull Lake and his winters playing golf at Bears Paw Golf & Country Club, Naples, Florida. Ted was an avid outdoors and sports enthusiast and member of Caledon Ski Club, Caledon Trout Club, Nut Island Hunt Club and Dixie squash club.
  The family will receive friends at the Turner and Porter Funeral Home, Peel Chapel 2180 Hurontario St. June 2nd 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. All friends are inivted to a reception to celebrate Ted's life at the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club on June 3rd from 2 - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society for Pancreatic research.
