Such sad news. My condolences to his family. John was a friend and a mentor. I had the wonderful privilege as a student living on Elgin avenue for many years, along with a host of others- He will be greatly missed by all.

John was a wonderful colleague, advisor and long time family friend. Among many other connections were his participation in the Mendelssohn Choir under our grandfather, his collaboration with our father Keith on many projects, including the Saints Alive shows at Trinity College U of T and the Sir Ernest MacMillan Memorial Foundation. John also offered sage advice on many legal and arts topics to our mother Pat after Dad passed away as well as to our generation of the family. He was always there. His Order of Canada membership speaks for itself. He will be greatly missed.
