MATTAR, John Solomon
Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital, Monday, December 18, 2006, at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of Phyllis. Dear father of Catherine and Sheila and father-in-law of Eric Hurlburt and Hin Tang. Proud grandfather of Olivia and Ethan and Griffin. John will be sadly missed by his sisters Grace, Lydia, Lilian and Florence and brothers Sam and Philip. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Solomon and Minerva Mattar and brother James. Born in Haifa, graduate of the Ontario College of Art, John was a dedicated art teacher. Cremation will be followed by interment in the family plot at Beechwood Cemetery, Toronto. A service in celebration of John's life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 161 Norfolk St., Guelph, Saturday, January 13, 2007 Memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital, 115 Delhi St., Guelph N1E 4J4 would be appreciated.
