McGREGOR, John William (Jack) (Founder of Fielding Chemical Technologies Inc.)
Suddenly, but painlessly and peacefully, was taken on Sunday, October 15, 2000. He passed away in his sleep, an ending and a new beginning he had always described as ;the way to go. Devoted and loving husband for 52 years of Gurli. A storybook father to his children Ian, Ellen and Kathy Wheeler, and sorely missed by their spouses Barbara, Paul and David. Proud Grandpa of 12 grandchildren. Jack is survived by his sisters Pat Wilson and Dorothy Cox. Jack was a veteran of W.W. II serving on the H.M.C.S. Uganda. He was a lifetime member of Kiwanis, past President of Credit Valley Golf and Country Club, President of South Magnetawan Hunting and Fishing Club and member of the Dixie Curling Club. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ;Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy. 10, north of Q.E.W.), from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday. A celebration of Jack's life will be held on Thursday, October 19th at 10 o'clock at Applewood United Church, 2067 Stanfield Road, Mississauga. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the charity of your choice. ;We will miss his strength, wisdom and sense of humour.
