Born November 5, 1916 in Pittsburgh, son of John and Myrtle (McCloy). Died June 2, 1999, at Laurel Wood Convalescent Centre. Predeceased by parents and son Daniel. Survived by wife, the former Doris West, children MaryAnn Rowe, Hamilton, Ontario, John A. Jr., Toronto, Ontario, David R., Nelson, British Columbia, Jane, Chicago; grandchildren Debbie, Graham, Jessica and Pam; also sister Elizabeth Shepard, Colorado, and brother J. Robert, New York. Elder and member of Westmont Presbyterian Church, Johnstown Rotary Club and Sunnehanna Country Club. Retired Vice President of ABEX Industries (Montreal, Johnstown, Pennsylvania). Memorial service was held Saturday, June 5, at Westmont Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westmont Presbyterian Memorial Fund. Interment Niagara Falls, New York.
