March 21, 1929 - June 3, 2010 JOHN TERENCE OSBOURNE, B.A., L.L.B. Died peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2010. Terry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Osbourne (nee Thomas), his four children, Wendy, David (Linda Hargreaves), Andrew (Maureen Noonan), Martha (Mike Wlodek), as well as 11 grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Kate, Erica, Jordan, Heather, Thomas, Brant, Nicolas, Sarah and Emilie. Terry was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Tytler. Terry was born in Toronto, March 21, 1929. Graduate of Upper Canada College, University of Toronto and Osgoode Law School. Terry enjoyed a very successful career of 35 years with the Canada Trust. Throughout his life, Terry was extensively involved with charitable foundations and organizations. He was a founding member of the Cambridge Rotary Club, a strong supporter of the Kitchener ­ Waterloo Community Foundation, and the Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation. Terry received the status of Honorary Senior Fellow of Renison College as well as receiving the Commemorative Medal by the Governor General of Canada in recognition of his significant contribution to his compatriots, community and to Canada. A grateful thanks to the nurses and doctors at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. A private service has been held. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Terry's life at a memorial service to be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Rd, Cambridge on Friday June 18th at 4.00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. 'Your eloquence and humour will be greatly missed!'
