On Saturday, December 30, 2000, peacefully, at his home in Mississauga. Beloved son of the late Dr. Melville and Pauline Platt of London, Ontario. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Angela Russell Platt. Devoted and loving father to John Russell and his wife Barrie, David Allan and his wife Monika, Colin Michael and his fiancée Amanda Ross. Proud and adoring ;Pop to John and Katie, Mathew, Adam and Austin. Brother to the late Dr. Melville Platt and his wife Nancy, and uncle to Melville Jr., Nancy Platt Brown and Margaret Platt Klaus. The funeral to celebrate John's life and the reception that will follow will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2001.
