John SPRAGUE Obituary

Sprague, John T.
Died suddenly, and tragically on September 7th, 2012 due to complications from a routine CT scan at UBC Hospital in Vancouver British Columbia at the age of 56. John was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Shirley (Stewart) Sprague of Winnipeg Manitoba. John is survived by, and truly missed by his loving wife Stacy Sprague (Orr), adoring daughter Cameron Stewart Sprague, his brothers Stewart Sprague (Jane Vayda) and David Sprague (Cathy Bowman), his niece Megan Sprague, nephew Daniel Sprague, his very dear Aunt 'Cath' Milner and cousin Shirley Good. John is also lovingly remembered by mother-in-law Ann Cameron Orr, sister-in-law Alex Orr, brother and sister-in-law John and Lisa Orr and niece and nephews Jack, Jane and Blake Orr. The Milners and Whites of Winnipeg along with his entire 'Minaki Family' also mourn his loss as do all his friends and family. John was a very special father who was so very proud of and did so much for his daughter. He was a wonderful husband, an accomplished sailor, boater, snow boarder, architect, musician, photographer, artist, advisor (Raymond James), lover of yoga, of life and of the lake. John was the calm in the storm. He was the loyal friend that you were so glad to have. His dry sense of humour could always put a smile on anyone's face. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 29th, 2012 at Christ Church Cathedral 690 Burrard Street Vancouver 11:45 am (doors open at 11:30 am). A reception to follow will be announced at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cameron Sprague Education Fund (#07600-5019500 in the name of Cameron Sprague) at any Royal Bank location in person or by direct e mail money transfer, or alternatively by sending a cheque in her name to 4633 W4th Avenue Vancouver BC V6R1R6.
