STRATTON, John R.
In his seventieth year, at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2001 after a lengthy illness. Born in Toronto, the only child of James Reginald Stratton and Florence Olga Stratton (née Tough). Retired Professor of Philosophy at Ryerson Polytechnic University and a highly regarded expert on and collector of early classical vocal recordings, his great passion in life and a subject on which he wrote extensively. He will be remembered and missed by his many friends and his cousins. Private funeral arrangements. Memorial service at a later date. No flowers please.
