JOHN A. TAYLOR 'JACK, TOAR' July 19, 1925 – December 7, 2011
Peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital KC3 Wing in Toronto on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Predeceased by his parents in Galt, Ontario, Campbell MacKenzie and Mildred (Eatough) Taylor and his only brother Blake (2008). Loved husband of Lois for over 55 years, father of Cam (Keltie), Ellen (Kevin) and adored grandfather of Caden, Amber, Ashley, Samantha and Michael. He will also be missed by many extended family members. Gregarious, popular WWII veteran, McMaster grad 1950, retired banker (CIBC Real Estate Division), wood carver and dog walker, always carrying small treats for all the dogs in Guildwood Park. Cremation has taken place and at Jack's request there will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. in the Recreation area of the Gates of Guildwood, 20 Guildwood Pkwy. (at Kingston Rd.), Scarborough, Ontario.
