THOMPSON, John Granger (Jocko)
Suddenly while playing hockey with the Basement Blues, on November 11, 2005. John, beloved husband and best friend of 31 years to Cathy. Cherished father of Scott and Lindsay. Special brother to Danna, and Marilee and Brian Ogilvie, and uncle to Robynlee and Rory. John was a long time member of the Balmy Beach Club and the Toronto Hunt Club and will be forever in the hearts of his many friends. Friends will be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road (west of Victoria Park Avenue), Toronto (416-698-2861), on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at Kew Beach United Church, 140 Wineva Avenue (at Queen Street East), on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation. Reception to follow at the Balmy Beach Club. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.
