I am grateful to have known and been in service to Hon. John Turner in his household from 1974 to 1984. I have a fond memories of the family and events that occurred during that time. He was a wonderful and compassionate human being who will be greatly missed. I am so sorry to have missed the service due to Covid restrictions. I never could have imagined that this would happen. My love and condolences. I cherish the memories.

My most heartfelt condolences go out to Mrs. Turner on the passing of The Rt.-Hon. John Turner, P.C., C.C., Q.C.. My thoughts and prayers are with the late retired former public servant's extended family, his widow's close friends, one of many notables like The Rt.-Hon. Stephen Harper who paid a visit to Mona Lisa Ristorante Italiano where I was employed and have been involved in my chosen sport for many years, and the countless lives he touched.

Mr. Turner was a great man.
I was an articling student and associate at Miller Thomson when Mr. Turner was a partner at the firm.
Everything that is being said about him is true. Mentor, generous, fantastic public servant, raconteur, funny, great lawyer, kind and wise. He could also really barbecue.
He remembered everyone's name because people mattered to him. He championed women. A man ahead of his time.
My condolences to Mr. Turner's family, in particular his wife, children and grandchildren, and his friends. Such a loss, but hopefully you have the comfort that he lived a full and meaningful life. May he rest in peace.
He was truly a remarkable man.
I will sign this as the Queen of Owen Sound.

I met Prime Minister John Turner through his wonderful wife Gilles Kilgour.
It is very difficult to express how very very special John N.W. Turner was as an individual, scholar, Athlete, Parliamentarian, Humanitarian. In short JOHN was a very SPECIAL GENTLEMAN in every sense of the word.
RIP DEAR BOY - you were and shall always be an original.
