It is with sadness that we announce the death of John after a fall. He died in North York General Hospital on Wednesday July 2nd, 2008. He is survived by his devoted wife Marjory (nee Patience) and his three sons Ian (Christine), Norman (Ann) and Robin (Susan). Dear grandfather of Carolyn, Lauren and Heather. Brother of James, William, Adam, Alistair and Earnest. John was a United Church Minister serving charges in Sutton West- Knox United Church, and Toronto- Deer Park, Forest Grove, Forest Hill and St. George's. John was the first full time chaplain at St. Andrew's College in Aurora from 1966-1969. A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 6, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church (230 St. Clair Ave. West), with visiting commencing 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
