JOHN WORSLEY On March 2, 2022, John passed away peacefully in Uxbridge, Ontario. Much loved by his late wife Carolyn and their 5 children: Willa (Derek), Harry (Janet), Jonathan (Laura), Dickon (Tory) and Katie (Paul). He also leaves his 11 grandchildren: Jennie, Nicole and Richard; Nicholas, Oliver, Hugo and Charlotte; Audra and Tristan; Carson and Bridger, all of whom he loved dearly. John wrote in the forward to his memoire "Life is an awesome journey that takes us beyond the dreams of our imagining and fills us with the passion that makes us truly live". He lived his life to the fullest. Educated at Eton School, then Trinity College, Oxford, he immigrated to Canada with Carolyn in 1957. They lived in Toronto then Hamilton before moving to Stockingtop Farm, Uxbridge which became the family home. They were surrounded by bedlam - children, dogs (Irish Wolfhounds to Yorkshire Terriers) and pet lambs were often found wandering the house. He planted trees from the start and later in life allocated a majority of their woodlands to conservation. John always described himself as a farmer, but his working life began in banking at Lazards, London; then Royal Trust, Morgan Trust, and finally Cassells Blaikie in Toronto. One of his proudest achievements was being asked to run the United Appeal. He loved his travels with Carolyn whether they were seeing Katie on the West Coast or Jonathan in England. Once retired, they travelled around North America, bird watching in their Winnebago. Binoculars in hand, a few years later, they repeated their 12 month journey, this time counter-clockwise! After losing Carolyn, the love of his life, he found friendship with Zoë Murray and spent summers in Sainte Agathe. John was loved dearly by all who knew him and will be remembered for his friendships far and wide that lasted a lifetime. Loving brother of Marcus and Oliver and survived by his sister, Katherine. "All shall be well." Any donations kindly appreciated to
