JONATHAN ANDREW PARKER MOONEY

1982 - 2025 It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan Mooney, 42, of Toronto, Ontario, on May 17, 2025. Jonathan was a devoted husband to Brianna Ray Mooney, and a loving father to sons, Jayson, 6, and Jayden, 2. Cherished son of Brenda Parker Mooney and the late Gary Mooney; dear brother to Ian Mooney (Gina); loving uncle to Ava; admired son-in-law of Jimmie and Ann Ray, of California; and beloved nephew of Joan Parker, Janet Brushett, Barbara Parker, Elizabeth Wills, Louise Brunet, and James Parker. Born in Toronto, Jonathan was intelligent, stoic, and unabashedly honest. He graduated from Trinity College School as an Ontario Scholar and earned his B.A. from the University of Toronto. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles where he earned his MBA from Benedictine University, a Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, and a Master of Laws from Pepperdine. He loved the sunshine, ocean expanse, and canyon hikes of the west coast. He met and married the love of his life, Brianna, while in California. He was a lifelong fan of basketball and eventually swapped his Lakers games for Raptors tickets when he returned to Toronto to serve as Vice President of Anderson Sinclair PC, and to raise his children in the city of his birth. Jonathan was a gentle, loving, and devoted family man. He will be dearly missed and forever deeply loved. A visitation will be held at the Crestview Chapel, at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, in Oakville, on June 14th, from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
