RABBI J. BENJAMIN FRIEDBERG On Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Joseph Benjamin Friedberg, devoted husband of Lola, his soulmate for over 71 years, passed away at the age of 94 in Toronto. Loving father of Mark (Gail), Gilah, and Esther (Brian). Devoted grandfather of Kevin, Jared, Shawna, Kyle, Ariela (Gavi), Daniel, and Aleeza. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Eva and Harold Dessen, Lillian and the late Arthur Lerman, Sally and the late Lloyd Zerker, the late Pearl and Aaron Hermant, and the late Mitzi and Jerry Leboff. Rabbi Friedberg was Rabbi Emeritus of Beth Tzedec Congregation after having served as its senior rabbi for 19 years. He also served at congregations in Rochester, NY, London, ON, and Ottawa. At Beth Tzedec Synagogue, 1700 Bathurst Street, for service on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Beth Tzedec Memorial Park.
