Joseph R. LEFORTE

JOSEPH R. LEFORTE Passed away peacefully on June 14, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 82 years. Born in New Waterford, son of the late Simon and Mary (Dewan) LeForte. Joseph is survived by sister, Mary McNamara; and sister-in-law, Margaret LeForte. Joe is held firmly in the hearts of many nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia, as well as his extended family and close friends in Toronto. Until his retirement, he was engaged in Human Resources. His ability to listen was a singular quality of his success. Joe was a gentleman and will be remembered with admiration and respect for his love for family and close-knit friends, for his gentle grace, and the warmth of his humour. He loved to travel, especially to the British Isles, and found his entrance to music through his passion for opera. He will be greatly missed. Joseph was predeceased by parents; brother, Greg; and brother-in-law, Charles McNamara. A Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated, at a later date, in his home parish of St. Lenard's Catholic Church, New Waterford, Nova Scotia.
