Peacefully in Toronto, nee Nora Joyce Campbell, predeceased in May 2009 by George Irons, her husband of 62 years and by her dear sister Phyllis in July 2009. She is missed by her three children, Gordon and wife Diane, Douglas and wife Sarah Netherclift, and Janet and four grandchildren: Matthew, David, Brendan Gerry, Derek Haaland and wife Natalie and great grandsons Noah and Jacob Haaland.Joyce was accomplished at Chinese brush painting, an avid cross-country skier and swimmer. A proud Canadian with an interest in genealogy, Joyce traced her ancestors back five generations to Scottish settlers arriving in Canada in 1830. At her request, Joyce will be cremated. Friends and relatives are invited to a service and celebration of Joyce's life to be held at York Cemetery Chapel, 160 Beecroft Rd. (north of Sheppard, west of Yonge) on Thursday, February 25th at 3:00 pm with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.Memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
