STEELE, JOYCE (née Bertrand) Passed away peacefully, at 71, in palliative care at Toronto's E. W. Bickle Centre on January 21, 2011, after a lengthy illness. A resident of Oakville, she leaves behind two loving sons, Scott (Jan Korman) and Brian (Carolyn Souch) of Toronto; her sister, Jean Hanna (Ken) of Leamington; sister-in-law Nancy Day (Keith) of San Diego; and nine nieces and nephews. Words cannot express the family's gratitude to Joyce's trusted and dedicated caregiver, Jackie Strelley, and loyal friend, Deborah Norman (Paul Bianchi), who was with her until the end. Thanks also to Dr. Ted Marras of the University Health Network and Dr. Ray Berry and the compassionate palliative team on 5N. Cremation to take place at St. James' Crematorium, Toronto. A memorial celebration of Joyce's life for family and friends will be held at a future date. Donations to the Canadian Lung Association or a charity of your choice appreciated.
