I was so saddened to hear the news of Julie´s passing. She was a wonderful person and an exceptional leader. Her knowledge seemed to have no limits yet she never made anyone feel "less than". She was kind and supportive and brought out the best in people.
I´ll share a special memory of Julie. I was a few weeks into my maternity leave with our first daughter. It was a cold, snowy night in February when I heard a knock at the door. To my surprise I open the door to find Julie standing there with a big smile with the snow falling and blowing all around her. She came to hand deliver my bonus cheque and thank me in person for my contributions. I never forgot that. Several years later, when we had moved on to other jobs, she wrote a wonderful recommendation for me that helped me secure a new position. She truly was special and I was blessed to know her and learn from her. My sincere condolences to all her family and friends.

Julie truly was special - a kind and considerate heart, a curious and humorous nature, a smart, persuasive leader, and a genuine, loyal and caring friend.
I met Julie as my husband´s boss and friend, but she soon became my friend too and part of our family.
We were blessed to have her light in our lives. Condolences all sharing in this great loss.

My sincere condolences go out to Julie`s family. We were colleagues for many years Central 1. She was collaborative, cooperative and clearly a wonderful mentor to her employees. May knowing how well she was appreciated ease your pain just a little.

Julie is wonderful amazing person I feel lucky to have know her and she was my dad friend I used to take care of their house while on vacation Julie will be forever missed but never forgotten

Julie is remembered fondly at CIBC. She has a celebrity rockstar status. News would travel when she would visit our floor and people would literally drop what they were doing to seek her out to say hello. I've never seen this before or after. She had a manner of making each person feel uplifted. I shared this with her once, and I am glad that I did.
She is missed.

Julie was a truly wonderful and kind soul, and without question the best boss I have had in my career. She looked out for me, mentored me, and always believed in my abilities even when I doubted myself. Her calm and steady demeanour in any situation was deeply reassuring and something I will always admire.
We shared the same birth date, which became a special bond between us. Julie will be greatly missed, but her legacy lives on through all of us whose lives and careers she touched.

When I was working for Symcor as Relationship Manager for CUCCO Julie was my contact person. She was a wonderful person to work with especially during some difficult times. She was the consummate professional who garnered so much praise from everyone who had the privilege to know her. R.I.P Julie
