MCKENZIE, June Bowen Therese (nee Perry)
Died May 29th, 2009, at St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, B. C. Predeceased by husband Dr. Allan McKenzie and by eldest son Kenneth. Survived by sons Michael (Tracy) of Vancouver and Paul (Jacqueline) of Beijing, China, and beloved granddaughters Sophie, Molly, Caroline, and Emma. June was born in Kingston, Ontario, and moved to Montreal at a very early age. There she was raised and educated, gaining a B. Sc. from McGill University. She moved to Vancouver at her marriage in 1954. She felt fortunate to have lived in both eastern and western Canada and found joy and comfort in family and many friends. A funeral service will be held at St. Philip's Anglican Church, 3737 West 27th Avenue, Vancouver, B. C. on Friday, June 5th, 2009 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the B. C. Cancer Foundation, 600 - 686 West Broadway, Vancouver, B. C., V5Z 1G1, or to a charity of your choice.
