K. Anne Plaxton passed away on August 30, 2024, in Lillooet, BC, supported by family and wonderful caregivers at Mountainview Lodge. Daughter of Charles Percy Plaxton and Gabrielle Faribault Plaxton, Anne was one of 10 children, and is survived by her sister, Dawn Plaxton of Victoria, BC. Fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity and colourful sense of style, Anne's love of family, friends, travel, volunteerism, the natural world and animals was only surpassed by her passion for visual art. A talented painter in her own right, she founded and was an active member of several art societies in Ontario before moving to BC. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff of Mountainview Lodge for their kindness and care for Anne during her final year. A celebration of life will be held at the historic Miyazaki House in Lillooet, BC, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. Ashes will be interred at Notre-Dame Cemetery in Ottawa at a later date.
