KATHERINE GOODMAN Obituary

(née Bourne) Katherine Ann Goodman, born in Kirkland Lake in 1953, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Toronto. Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend, she is deeply mourned by her husband, Ray Goodman; her son, Alex Goodman; her brother, Robert Bourne (Donna); her sisters, Mary Beth Bourne and Sandy Bourne; her mother-in-law, Annabelle Goodman; and her many (great) nieces and nephews. Kathy had a special gift for making people feel at home. Whether at the kitchen table, around a bridge game, through her meals or flower arrangements, she gave her whole heart. She will be remembered for her warm and caring nature, loyalty, and devotion to family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 23rd, at Morley Bedford Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., and interment at St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CISV Canada Memorial Fund. I literally just learned of Kathy's passing. most certainly not what I was expecting. Memories flood back from decades ago whether Elliot Lake or times in Sudbury. My parents always appreciated both Kathy and Ray's efforts to visit them regularly. My sincere regrets in being unable to attend today as I am away from TO. Bob, Mary Beth , and Sandy, my very sincere condolences. Obviously words do not express sufficiently here.
