KATHERINE LEE HILL

KATHERINE LEE HILL obituary

KATHERINE HILL Obituary

Passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia on August 22, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Brantford, Ontario, to the late Charles and Christine Hill, Katherine was the youngest of three daughters to sister, Ann (Paul), and the late Sally (John). Katherine was a loving aunt to niece, Jaqueline (Arian); nephew, Scott (Jamie); and great-aunt to Jackson, Alex, and Wyatt. Katherine had a passion for makeup, which led to a long and successful career in the beauty industry. She began as a cosmetician at the Chanel counter and went on to work as a makeup artist for CBC, Nabet 700, and IATSE 873. Her work spanned live sports shows, children's programming, corporate videos, and numerous film and television productions. Her name graced many screen credits, and she was known for her grace, professionalism, and respect for everyone she worked with - whether well-known celebrities or background performers. Her quiet wit, intelligence, integrity, and loyalty are a profound loss to all who loved her. Katherine will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering kindness, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. As RuPaul once said, "Life is about using the whole box of crayons," a sentiment that beautifully captures the colorful joy and creativity she brought to those around her. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Tansley Woods in Burlington for their compassionate care of Katherine over the past three years.

Yesterday

I first met Katherine training for Jeansmarines. We shared a lot of stories over many miles and got to know each other. I learned that Katherine was such a gentle soul, and probably one of the sweetest persons I knew. Attached is Katherine and her yummy yummy chocolates which she sold at Artisanal shows we did together. I will fondly remember our many afternoon Teas we shared. Rest in Peace sweet Katherine.

Ann, Paul and family,
Katherine was sure proud of you.
From the beginning she brought fun and laughter to her friends - from delicious Sara Lee brownies that we ate while sailing in a Junior Club Sprite to Hanlon's beach, sharing her dry clothes after we were soaked in rough weather to showing me how to apply makeup -- and even drawing a map of a face showing what goes where. She never gave up!
Her homemade chocolates were unforgettable.
I will always remember how much she enjoyed working on "The Big Comfy Couch".
Katherine was true friend who quietly made her mark in this world. She will be missed.
